    Good morning,
    Myself and mum completed the Joe Wicks work out and I’ve completed the maths tasks. Missing my teachers, my mums good but she is really strict. I’m just about to do my TT rocks time and then I’m allowed a break. I’ll complete the rest later on today!

      Glad to hear you did Joe Wicks’ workout this morning and got your mum involved too. Same again tomorrow morning! 🙂
      We miss you too – but remember it’s not forever and we can’t wait to see you all again.
      Well done for going on TTRS – get as many points as you can towards the Battle of the Bands.
      Your literacy work looks good too – well done for remembering most of the speech punctuation. Remember speech should start with a capital letter and you need a full stop at the end of your line of speech.

      Have a good day.

    I think the flier falls to the floor because it doesn’t have the energy to stay in the air. I think the air pushes it down to the floor. Maybe if you take away the paperclip it will stay in the a longer. I cut the back pit of the flier and took the paperclip out and it stayed longer in the air.

    I started with my maths first today.
    Q1. Ron can make 4 even 2 digit numbers.
    Q2. True because 4 out of the 12 squares are shaded and 12 divided by 3 is 4.
    Q3. 43 + 39, 23 + 28 and 10 x 7
    I found a pencil, pen, a sticker sheet, a book and a reward chart and estimated the length. Then I measured them and put them in order. I did the , = symbols and then I put all my measurements into a bar chart.

    Science
    Me and my Mum made two paper airplanes, one with short wings and one with long wings, we tested them at the same soft level of throwing power and although the smaller one had a better glide meaning it had less air resistance, the bigger paper aeroplane went further due to it being slightly thinner (as measured by a ruler) and it having more grip on the air resistance as a result of its size. Hope you enjoyed reading the results of my science experiment, see you on tomorrow’s blog! 🙂

    Mr Bettles and Miss Spaven have just completed the ‘flier’ activity in school with our Year 3/4/5/6 class and we found that the original fliers with one paper clip fell more slowly to the ground compared to the fliers where we had added more paper clips and where we had made the ‘wings’ shorter. Did you find this too?

    This is because gravity causes the flier to fall to the ground but air resistance slows the flier down. Therefore, the larger the wings, the slower it falls as there is more resistance slowing the flier down.

    1 – The giant growled ,”How dare you say that my feet are smelly and I will never wash my feet.”
    “I can’t take this horrible smell. Right, I am getting out of here,” said the flying mouse.
    “I heard that ,and you are not going anywhere,” shouted the ogre.

    Maths:-

    1) – The 2- digit even numbers are 64, 46, 14, 16.
    2) – It is true because the fraction of the square is 4/12 and when I divide it becomes 2/6 then1/3.
    3) – These calculations have an answer more than 40
    43 + 39 = 82
    23 + 28 = 51
    10 x 7 = 70
    I did not use any calculations
    4) – my estimation then the actual sizes
    Pen = 15cm
    Scissors = 20cm
    Sticky notes = 7cm
    Highlighter = 11cm
    Eraser = 4cm
    Actual sizes –
