Thursday 26th March Reception

Good morning Reception,

Did anybody else find yesterday’s Joe Wicks tricky? Don’t forget to tune in again today at 9am to ensure you get your daily exercise.

We have been very lucky with the weather this week! Let’s enjoy it whilst it lasts and get outside. Can you draw something you can see either outside or out of a window. Some ideas include: tree, flowers, bird and insect. Make sure to use your observation skills to really see the shapes you can see. Add lots of detail and if you would like to you can colour it in.

Maths: Number bingo

In your packs you will find lots of representations of the numbers 1-10. Cut these out and give all of the players 6 of these cards. Next, shuffle and turn over the number cards 1-10. Take it in turns to reveal a number card. If you have a representation of this you can put it aside. Once all of your representation cards have been put aside you have BINGO! For a challenge, give all of the players 8 cards instead of 6.

English: Poem

I have recorded myself reading a poem for you. It is called This is Our School. Have a listen to the poem.

Can you tell somebody at home what your favourite part of school is and why? You can then write this as a sentence and draw a photo to go with it.

You can send a picture of your work to:

Miss.goodswen@wfps.org.uk or Mrs.hughes@wfps.org.uk

I hope you are having a great week!

Miss Goodswen and Mrs Hughes

    Mummy comment:

I wasn’t quite ready for the emotions that came when we listened to your poem Miss Goodswen…. the girls enjoyed it, but I had to step out as it made me quite emotional, a lovely choice thank you x

    Hi there,

Thanks for the daily set tasks…but finding it generally really difficult to engage Jessica’s Interest or cooperation to do many of the tasks as she just wants to play whilst at home (which is frustrating/worrying me) however she loved the number bingo game (and if I catch her at the right time a book or two) so if you have any more games along those lines you can think of that’d be great…I’m trying to sell/disguise the learning activities as ‘games’ rather than ‘schoolwork’ which seems to be putting her off . Just finding it hard to motivate her. ? Emily
