Monday 20th April – Years 2 and 3
Good morning,
We hope that you have all had a lovely Easter and enjoyed the sunshine. Hopefully you’ve had lots of fun with your family and plenty of rest.
Just as we did before the break, we will continue to post daily activities for you. Remember that you can do them in any order and that they are suggested activities – you could complete a page from your pack instead some days. It is also so important that you still have time to read, play, get outdoors, rest and spend time with your family.
If you or your parents have any questions about any of the tasks, please post a comment or email us. As before, we love to see how you have got on with the tasks so please comment or email us. We will get back to you as soon as we can. We are all missing you very much so it is lovely to hear from you.
Here are some activities to keep you busy today:
PE with Joe Wicks (have you taken part in his homework task to design a T-Shirt?) 9 – 9.30am
https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1
15 minutes on TT Rockstars or Hit the Button
Just as we do at school, try to finish your day with a story.
Have a lovely day, Years 2 and 3.
If you would like to share anything with us or ask any questions, post a comment (remember to put your first name or initials and class) or email us:

Hi Lucas,
Thanks for posting 🙂
Have another read of the maths question… you’re almost correct.
Can you work out the total value of your collection of coins?
Miss Bailey
Sorry each girl gets £3
Boys get £7 each
2 + 5 + 10 + 20 + 50 = 87p
Dragon
I would hide it in a room so he can’t be found (and my dog Ellie can’t eat it!)
I would only tell my pet hamster Smokie. He can keep a secret.
Feed it, give it water and let it run around my garden at night when everyone is asleep.
Well done, Lucas!
That sounds like a good plan for your dragon ownership.
Miss Bailey 🙂
if a dragon was in my room I will get it a soft cosy bed it to sleep in and get it a drink if it is thersty and get it food if it is hungry I will never let it go.
It sounds like you would take good care of a dragon.
Thirsty – you’ve got the right sound but you need the ‘ir’ spelling like in ‘bird’.
Well done 🙂
Miss Bailey
l really enjoyed writing your story. My favourite sentence was peers up at you.
I did this at school.
I loved the dragon story because it was a baby dragon his name was lime and he was grass
green.
I loved the Dragon task and decided I would not keep it as it would grow too much!
I really enjoyed writing about the dragon but especially enjoyed drawing it in detail. I am proud of my drawing.
That’s great, Max! Hopefully you can show me next time I’m in.
Miss Bailey 🙂
Naomi enjoyed counting money and showing me the right coins to make up the totals I was picking for her from the receipt
Joseph has really enjoyed building his zoo (we will email a picture). He did really well with the English and maths tasks aswell.
English :-
1. I will keep it and play fetch with it.
2. I will tell my sister.
3. Yes
4. I will give good and a shower.
My own plan :- The name of my dragon is Lily. my plan is to feed the dragon some biscuits and mango. I will clean its body so it would have shiney scales. I will train the dragon to fly.
Maths :-
Each boy will get £7.00
Total money is £29. (2 x £10 notes = £20) + (4 x £2 coins = £8) + (1 x £1 coin). £20 + £8 + £1 = £29.00
(£3 to each girl x 5 girls = £15)
Thus £29 – 15 =£14
£14/2 boys = £7 to each boy
