Friday 24th April – Year 1
Hello Year 1.
Well done for another week of Home Learning and we hope you have enjoyed the activities.
Activity 1– As it is Friday we thought you might want to put on one of your favourite songs and have a dance to it. You may let someone else in your house choose a tune instead for a change. Remember to keep some of your energy left for a few more activities. If you would like a more gentle start to the day you may like to use Cosmic Yoga which is on the Whole School blog.
Activity 2– Phonics
Activity 3 – Maths
Can you start off by counting in tens and see how far you get? 0, 10, 20, 30 …..Can you count back from 100 in tens? If you want to challenge yourself, you could count in fives to 20, 50 or 105 and back again. You can use this number square to help you if you wish.
Then we would like you to try Challenge 1 on the White Rose challenge. You have to find out what the missing numbers are and try and use them to work out the rest of the questions. It is similar to the missing number work we have done in class. Here is the link. Summer Week 1 Friday’s challenge
Activity 4– Literacy. Today we would like you to look at this picture of some of the shoes that were made for the Shoemaker to sell in the story I read on Wednesday. How many pairs of shoes can you see and how many shoes all together?
Then we would like to choose one of these activities.
1- To describe one of the pairs of shoes in the picture using words like heel, colour, leather, laces, bows, heels. you can say this or write it.
2- Choose a pair of these shoes and say who might wear them and why?
For a little break, you might like to enjoy finding out about the progress in Mrs Worth’s garden!
Have a relaxing weekend. We are so lucky to have such lovely weather. Try to think of something else that you are thankful for.
You may want to say this prayer that we sometimes say in Morning Worship.
Thank you for the world so sweet.
Thank you for the food we eat.
Thank you for the birds that sing.
Thank you, God, for everything.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
We could finish our Friday off by singing our song As One.
Its on http://
Best wishes from,
Mrs Rands, Mrs Felstead, Mrs Worth, Mrs Simms, Mrs Walker and Mrs Shave.

Well done Eric, you have been working hard already.
I have listed to that song a million times and that was the best one I have ever heard
