Year 5 Friday Recipe Video
Dear Year 5
From Monday to Thursday Miss Taylor will continue reading Kensuke’s Kingdom – one of the best books I think I have ever read. What will happen next? Could you make a prediction and put it in an envelope to look at later?
On Fridays I am going to post a slightly different video and today it is one of my favourite recipes – Oaty Biscuits.
For 24 biscuits:
75g porridge oats
25g sultanas or raisins
100g butter or margarine
100g plain flour (Use whatever flour you can find at the moment! We only have strong white bread flour)
50g sugar (I use soft brown sugar but up to you)
Put all ingredients in a food processor and whizz until combined. Chill in the fridge for a few minutes then roll out and cut into shapes. Bake on a greased tray for 9 minutes at 180 degrees/Gas Mark 4.
Recipe books:
Nadiya’s Bake Me a Story.
Sam Stern’s Cooking Up a Storm.
Which is your favourite recipe book?
I’m excited to try these at the weekend, Mrs Byfield! What a great idea. I will have a look in my kitchen and try to find my favourite recipe book. There are rather a lot! From Mrs Worth
They are delicious Mrs Worth but they are like Pringles – you can’t just eat one 😉
