Year 2 – Week Beginning – 27th April

Hello Year 2,

Here are the activities which we have chosen for you – please click on the link to access the learning:

Maths – try to complete one each day, if not possible, aim for at least 3 each week

Maths 1 (Make equal parts) – Make Equal Parts

Maths 2 (Recognise a half) – Recognise a Half

Maths 3 (Find a half) – Find a Half

Maths 4 (Recognise a quarter) – Recognise a Quarter

Maths 5 (Find a quarter) – Find a Quarter

Literacy – each link focuses on a particular area of Literacy and there are 2-4 activities to be completed, feel free to pick and choose which ones you would like to complete (try to aim for at least 3 each week)

Wider Curriculum – these will differ every week and could be Science, History, Geography, Art, Music, D&T or PSHE. You can choose when you would like to complete these.

Additional activities: Remember you can always access Mathsbot, TT Rocks or pick up a book and read for a little while. Mrs Felstead has also been uploading daily Phonics lessons on another blog post – it would be great if you could have a go!

    On the first one I get it if you split both of them count the two bottom lines 2+2=4 and that if you count the top row 2+2=4 so you get the same answer.

    Hi Mrs Hackney,
    I did the History task and we thought about how we could find out about being a child in 1960. We thought about who we could ask and I came up with Granny, Grandpa and Grandma. We thought maybe they would have things they could show me, for example a picture of themselves as a child, a piece of furniture their parents had when they were a child and a letter they got from somebody. Those are primary sources. Love from Rachel. xxxx

      Hello Rachel,
      You are so lucky to have so many grandparents who can give you an insight to the past. You will have to ask to see some of those primary resources when you meet up with them again soon!
