Missing Ilam and Year 4 Story Time!

Hello Year 4!

Miss Chambers and I (Miss Clancy!) are so disappointed that we couldn’t be exploring the countryside in Ilam with you this week! Instead, I have been using my daily exercise time exploring new countryside near my house so I thought I would share some pictures with you. We would love to hear/see how you are spending your time outside too!

Miss Chambers and I will also be taking it in turns to post a video for you each week. We might read a poem, a story or do something a little bit different. This week I decided to read the next Beowulf story with you – Beowulf and the Sea Hag. It was a little bit longer than I thought so I will upload in in 4 parts throughout the week. Enjoy!

Spending time outside has definitely been important, I’ve been enjoying long walks and exploring new places… no horses though!

I have been going for family walks locally and cycle rides with my family. When you have a dog it makes you get out and be active .

Ethan thinks he knows where your walk was. We’ve been insect spotting and getting stronger on bike rides too. Shame it’s turned rainy but staying in baking cakes and watching movies wasn’t too bad ?
We are looking forward to the rest of the Beowulf story.

Really? I’ve been trying to find places where it’s nice and quiet, I thought I’d found myself a secret spot! Baking cakes and watching movies sounds like a great day to me! What kind of cakes did you make? I’m sure you’ll enjoy eating them!

Hi Miss Chambers. How are you? What have you been doing? I have been going to my sisters horses. We also rode on our bikes to Delapre Abbey and round it. We have also played board games. How many crisps have you ate? Yesterday I made lemon drizzle ? by my self.

Hello Benito, it’s lovely to hear from you.
I’m doing well but missing Rowan class and school lots! Sound like you have been really busy… what’s your favourite board game? I’ve been playing lots of scrabble.
I haven’t eaten that many bags of crisps, would you believe it!?
I bet your lemon drizzle tastes delicious… I made a cake on Sunday as it was my dad’s birthday but I’m not a very good baker and ended up setting the fire alarm off… oops!
How’s your maths coming along? I bet you’re enjoying the Oak National Academy work!
      Take care, Miss Chambers

Hi miss chambers, We have been going on a lot walks to different locations, where I have been riding my bike. Me and my sister have been exploring through forests.
We have also been doing a lot of baking. (chocolate cakes and cookies)
My dad has taught me how to ride and control a digger as he is building at the side of our house.
