Week beginning 18th May Reception

Good morning Reception,

I hope you had a fun weekend spending time with your family.

As we are working a week behind with the Oak Academy you will be working on week 4 beginning 11th May.

Other activities

Phonics: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP_FbjYUP_UtldV2K_-niWw/featured

I have had plenty of emails from you saying how much you are enjoying these phonics videos. Keep going through the episodes they are a great way to keep building on your knowledge. Phonics is so important when reading and writing.

Can you learn a new nursery rhyme? Speak to the people in your household and see if they know a nursery rhyme that you do not. Alternatively, you can find some here on BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/eyfs-listen-and-play-nursery-rhymes-index/z7dgscw

See if you can clap to the beat of the song. Can you create your own dance moves to go with it?

Northamptonshire Sport are hosting the school games on their webpage: https://www.northamptonshiresport.org/school-games

This is for children of all ages to try and is a great way to get some exercise. You can also log your achievements and view the activity sheets for them. You can also access the previous school games which are Dodgeball and Gymnastics if you prefer.

There are also plenty of other ideas and activities on the Weekly Family Activities blog too!

Happy learning and don’t forget to either comment below or email your teacher how you are getting on.

Take care,
