Hi. It is perhaps worth letting parents and children know that they can go to White Rose Maths to watch the video lesson before doing the task.

    Dear Mrs Hackney,
I did the Friday challenge and here are the answers for them:
the answer for challenge 1 is Lee has eight strawberries,
the triangle could be another larger triangle or a square.
the answer for challenge 2 is 82-12 =70 and the reason you need to subtract 12 from 82 is because you need to have 12 to add to half of 70.The next number sentence is: 70÷2=35.Then you need to add 35 to 12 which equals 47. The lolly costs 47p and the chew costs 35p.
The answer for challenge 3 is 12×5=60 so Max has bought sixty stickers. the next number sentence is:60-27=33. Max has 27 stickers left and so you need to divide 33 into 3 equal groups and that equals 11 which means that all three of Max’s friends get eleven stickers each. With lots of love from Rachel. xxxx
