Year 4 Home Learning – Week Beginning 18th May

Hello Cedar and Rowan Class!

We hope you had a lovely weekend. It has been great hearing that lots of you had a positive week last week.

As always, we’d love to hear more from you on the blog or by email. Remember when you comment on the blog, you can just make up an email address to be able to post a comment.

e.g name@wfps.org.uk or name@class.org.uk    theo@wfps.org.uk     or  theo@cedar.org.uk

You don’t have to contact us every day but we would like to hear from you once a week to hear how you are getting on. Our emails are:

Miss.Clancy@wfps.org.uk and Miss.Chambers@wfps.org.uk

We would love to hear what you’ve been up to, what you enjoyed most (so we know to do more of this!) and what you found tricky (so we can help you improve!).

As always, there will be 5 English and maths lessons available. It would be amazing if you could complete one a day – we know this isn’t possible for everyone – so aim for at least 3. We have posted the links to the White Rose Worksheets at the bottom of the blog.

Keep staying safe and enjoying spending time with your families!
Miss Clancy and Miss Chambers

Hello! We started the White Rose lessons a week late so most people should be on week 4 which was published 11th May. Have you already accessed/completed these worksheets?

Hi, We’ve gone wrong on the English weeks, so did the persuasive writing last week. Will continue with the week of 18th today and hopefully get back in sync after half term.

Also – Ethan’s advice to help Miss Clancy’s plant’s situation:-
    1) Water them
    2) Give them the space they need in pots / gardens
    3) Make sure they get the right nutrients
    4) Make sure they have sunlight

Hi, as long as you are following a sequence of lessons throughout the week that is no problem at all. We are currently working a week behind because it helps us to plan the blogs in advance!
Thank you so much for your advice Ethan, I’ll have a go at doing those things and let you know how I get on.

Hi Miss Clancy and Miss Chambers I have solar lights that I put in my garden a few weeks ago. My mummy put them near the sun so that they can light up.
I also made some more flap jacks.
    They were so YUMMY!!!
    And energy balls.
    Love from Rose W

Hi Rose, it sounds like you’ve been busy! I love having lights in the garden, I’m sure they look great. Did you use Mrs Worth’s recipe or do you have your own? I’m glad you enjoyed them!

Hi Miss Clancy , I used Google recipes and I have tried 4 recipes every week. I have gold lights in my garden. They look really pretty.
