Year 6 home learning week beginning 18th May

Hello Year 6!

NEW PHONICS FUN! This week’s spelling activity includes a virtual phonics lesson with yours truly! Please take part 🙂 My technology skills are second to none 🙂

This week, as well as the activities on the blog, I wonder how many of you could have a go at the Northamptonshire virtual school games activities?

There are new challenges each week which are demonstrated on the video and remember to complete the form below each time you complete the challenges to earn Virtual School Games Participation Points for our school and for the chance to win some amazing spot prizes!

Here is the website for you to have a go: https://www.northamptonshiresport.org/school-games

As it is hopefully meant to be better weather, you could spend some more time outside completing these, competing against your siblings or other family members 🙂

You could email us at the end of the week to tell us how you’ve got on and send us pictures or examples of other bits of work from the blog or other learning that you’ve been up to.

As we are preparing to welcome year 6 back to school after half term (provided things go ahead as planned by the government) we thought you might like to reflect on some of these questions:

How do you feel about coming back to school?
What will you miss about home?
Who are you looking forward to seeing when we return?
What are you looking forward to doing when we’re back in school?
Are you worried about coming back? If yes, what are you worried about?
You could email your responses to us or just have a think to yourself 🙂

Our emails are:

miss.lowe@wfps.org.uk     miss.spaven@wfps.org.uk

We will continue to post chapters of our story for you to enjoy so keep an eye on the blog for those to appear.

Well done Emmie! I am glad that you are learning Spanish and enjoying it. I am still struggling because I keep getting confused with French!

Hola Emmie. I know Miss Lowe has replied already, but if you love Spanish you could go back to the link and press ‘next activity’ (bottom left button). That will take you to a video which helps you practise the Spanish alphabet and numbers. There’s an option to repeat letters and numbers and a couple of challenges. Adios. Mrs Bacon 🙂
