Maths Challenge

This week we have a maths challenge to try at home.

Students can copy lego patterns from these printable cards ... Use building blocks to make repeating patterns.

We call simple repeated patterns like numbers I,3 and 4 an A B pattern and we start with these. From the beginning we use this language as we talk about repeating patterns. Blocks can be laid out in a line or stacked together for this activity, and any blocks or matching objects can be used. To start an activity begin a repeating pattern for your child and ask them to continue this, modelling A,B,A,B. They will very soon be challenging you!

Please continue reading and talking together, and let us know if you need any further help with home learning.
