1st June 2020- Reception

Hello Reception,

We hope you had a wonderful half-term and enjoyed spending time outside in the glorious weather. We are looking forward to welcoming some of you back to school this week and will be following some of the work from this blog, as well as working on some important key skills and having lots of fun. Please carry on with some learning at home if you are not joining us in school.

This week we are working on week 5 dated 18th May for Maths and Literacy (we are a week behind).

Other activities

Phonics: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP_FbjYUP_UtldV2K_-niWw/featured

Phonics is so important for both reading and writing. Try to do at least three sessions per week and remember to access new reading books through the Oxford Owl site below. Unfortunately we are unable to send any reading books home.

Northamptonshire Sport have their virtual school games challenges for you to try at home. These are for all children (adults could have a go too) and are a great way to get some exercise.  Have a look at the activity sheets and log your achievements when you have completed them.  Go on, get moving and have some fun!

Muffin Tray Tortilla Pizzas

Have a go at this easy recipe and let us know what you added to your pizzas. Can you explain how to make them to someone else?

Everybody Worries is a special book to share at this time. Remember to talk to your trusted adult about any worries you might have.

There are also plenty of other ideas and activities on the Weekly Family Activities blog.

Happy learning and don’t forget to either comment below or email your teacher how you are getting on.

We are missing you all,

Hi Andi. Well done! You have been very busy. Miss Storey has added a Maths Mastery Shape Adventure to the blog. If you enjoyed learning about shapes you could also watch her video if you’d like to. Have a lovely day. Mrs Bacon 🙂

Tommy really enjoyed making tortilla pizzas. He made them with cheese, ham, red peppers and olives. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
