Year 6 home learning week beginning 8/6/20
Hello Year 6!
Another week where some of us are in school and some of us are still working from home. Wherever you are, we hope you are enjoying your learning and we would love to hear from you so remember you can either post on the blog or email us.
Our emails are: miss.lowe@wfps.org.uk miss.spaven@wfps.org.uk
If you are at home for the whole week, you can still choose when you want to do the wider curriculum tasks. We would love to see and hear what you get up to!
Beech children that are coming into school, you will complete some of the tasks from Monday to Tuesday in school this week but you should complete the other Maths and English sessions at home and if you want, you can try the other wider curriculum tasks too. Remember that I’d like to see your writing at the end of the week so either email to me or bring into school on Monday 🙂
Larch children that are coming into school, you’ll need to complete Monday and Tuesday’s English and Maths tasks at home as you will be completing work from the rest of the sequence at school on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
This week, we have also added some key instant recall facts we’d like you to practise to aim to be able to learn off by heart. This term they are square numbers and square roots and also prime numbers to 50. Choose just a few at a time to learn and practise little and often.
We will continue to read the second Famous Five book this week too, so keep an eye on the blog for the next chapters of this book. We hope you are enjoying it as much as the first one. Please let us know!
As always, stay safe and we look forward to seeing and hearing from you all very soon!
