Year 6 home learning week beginning 15/6/20

Hello Year 6!

Another week where some of us are in school and some of us are still working from home. Wherever you are, we hope you are enjoying your learning and we would love to hear from you so remember you can either post on the blog or email us.

Our emails are: miss.lowe@wfps.org.uk     miss.spaven@wfps.org.uk

If you are at home for the whole week, you can still choose when you want to do the wider curriculum tasks. We would love to see and hear what you get up to!

All children who are coming into school (whether you are Beech or Larch class) you will complete at least session 1-3 of the tasks when you’re in school (maybe even session 4 too if we work really hard!) and then all children will complete the last tasks whenever you are learning from home. For example, this week, Beech class you will complete the end of the week writing for English on Thursday/Friday and Larch you will complete it on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday.

Larch, you can then email your work to Miss Lowe, Mrs Crook and Mrs Byfield or bring it with you when you next go into school. Beech class you can email to Miss Spaven and Mr Bettles or bring it with you into school. We hope that’s clear!

We have created a video for you to explain the week’s tasks and also just to say hello, so those at home can see our faces 🙂

(most importantly so you can get an update on Miss Spaven’s vegetables!)

We also have an extra reading activity which is the ‘Library Summer Reading Challenge’. It is running virtually this year. You’ll need to sign up online and you can earn your badges there.

https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/

We will continue to read the second Famous Five book this week too, so keep an eye on the blog for the next chapters of this book. We hope you are enjoying it as much as the first one. Please let us know!

As always, stay safe and we look forward to seeing and hearing from you all very soon!

Well done Emmie – I’m glad you enjoyed it. If you are in school this week, you will be looking at Lessons 1,2 and 3 for maths and English. Perhaps you could have a go at writing a letter of complaint tomorrow and emailing it to me. You can use all of the learning from last week in school to help you.

Well done Emmie – remember you will be doing lessons 1 to 3 in school on Thursday and Friday. You don’t want to end up repeating work so try and finish the maths from last week first? Or play on TTRS too.
      Miss Lowe 🙂
