Year 5 Home Learning Week beginning 22.6.20

Update: The English tasks for this week are a repeat of 4th May. This is because we did not receive many responses and to give you a chance to uplevel and improve your setting descriptions.

If you feel you have completed these lessons and would like a change, please complete the football writing activities set here https://royoftheroversofficial.com/news/2343%C2%A0%E2%80%8B

Or you could complete the community writing challenge using the skills you learnt in our diary week of 18th May.

Hello Year 5,

Please email miss.taylor@wfps.org.uk or mrs.byfield@wfps.org.uk to let us know how you have got on with your learning this week.

Take Care,

ONE of the things i have learnt for English is that even if in a fact retrieval test if your answers are different but it means the same thing it is correct but your teachers would like you to exactly copy it.
i have done bbc bitsize i got all of the answers right

      Morning Jaydnn,
Yes, you have to be careful with fact retrieval questions as often you need to copy explicitly from the text to get the correct answer rather than writing it all in your own words.
Well done for doing some BBC bitesize too.
      Have a good day!
      Miss Lowe 🙂

Okay Aiyana – don’t worry. Could you write or draw one of your favourite Lockdown memories on a piece of paper? Or you could start a list of all the things you would like to do when Lockdown is over. This could be written or you could write it in the notes section of your ipad.
      I hope this helps.

Don’t worry – could you be creative and use something that you do have? Even just a pencil drawing would be lovely – you could use your mark making skills to create effect or you may have some colouring pencils. Adapt the task to suit what you have at home.

Completed this work for week-ending 3rd July (we are working a week behind the school blog).
    ———

    Hi everyone, its Maddie here.

    English – enjoyed the lessons.

Maths – like doing these graphs. Got a little muddled at one point, but sat with my Mum and worked out where I went wrong. Mom marks my work, so I don’t look at the answer sheets.

Topic work went ok. Enjoyed Spanish as usual. I think I’d like to go visit Spain when covid is over. The art challenge was cool on BBC Bitesize, enjoyed this one.

Hope you had a good week friends!
